Nice job!

Quick question: do you now sit lower in the car compared to the OEM seats?

Is it safe to assume that those don't work too well with the oem seatbelts?

It actually looks like it'd work decently still. A 4 or 5 point harness is safer though, why use the stock seatbelts (Other than convenience)?

thanks for the feedback. i'll try to answer a few of your questions. i modified the cobra side mount brackets to work w/ the oem sliders. entry and exit is not bad at all. i just need to slide the seat back so that my legs can clear the steering wheel. goat: they are currently not lower than the oem setup. i need to clearance about 1/8" off of the non-functions, but still attached tilt mechanism to get a bit lower. seat position is very different from oem. there is a steeper angle from the front of the seat bottom to the back w/out the seat back being angled back any further than i used to drive. ngweibin@mac.com: they are comfortable once you get in.....some would hate the exercise. i don't mind it and haven' had to start yoga classes. expensive? most would say yes. jaynicholson and rustyboy155: these seats really don't work at all w/ the oem belts. the side bolsters are so high and the helment containment part (antlers) are so wide and low that the oem belts would not function as intended. i removed the oem attachment point on the slider. custom roll/harness bar w/ 6-point harness will be going in soon. i'll use 4-points for daily use and thread the sub-straps through the slot in the seat and cushion for track use. kyriian: visibiliy is not impeded much by the seats. i chose this model because of the cutouts in the head restrains. vs. most other hans compatable seats w/ head restraints.

I'm hoping this is answered in the affirmative. Those seats look to be a major catastrophe waiting to happen if not wearing a helmet and wearing a helmet in bumper to bumper traffic is

it's required by many sanctioning bodies to have matching seats

yes, I track the car. That is the only justification for these seats. I will be wearing a hans device. Things are getting too fast to not upgrade the safety aspect. Dual seats for when I start instructing. I still drive daily, but not for much longer.

my last post was a bit short because i did it on my phone....my car is headed to Race Car Builders of South Florida for a custom roll/harness bar and harness installation. i wanted to get the seats installed so that the rest of the installation would be compliant w/ han's recommendations/requirements. they will also be installing my Schroth 6-pt. harnesses. oem belts will be removed as they are useless w/ these seats. i know that my new set up will not be DOT compliant, but i will feel quite comfortable w/ four-point harnesses for the street and adding the sub-straps for the track. visability is surprisingly good through the antlers. still tweaking angles and heights, but i'm getting close. red loctite when i'm done.
