I am thinking of getting the "MINI Cooper S" license plate frames. Has anyone else used these? My main concern is that they protect the paint underneath and are sturdy. Any help would be appreicated. Thanks!

I got the Cooper licence plate frame in Chrome and I love it. It looks really sharp (especially if you have the crome trim)

Hey Redbird!
Where can I see this Cooper S frame? The dealer did a bad job of screwing my front plat in, and I'm checking the euro-plates to try and cover the damage. Do you know where I can see a pic of the plate frame you are getting?

If you live in a state that does not require a front tag, there is a body colored blank that can be installed. I had to ask for it, it cleans up the look of the front bumper, if that suits your taste.

Majormini is speaking of Roadshow MINI, which is where I got my car. Dorian is sending me one license plate frame (stock), which I will put on the front. I'm putting the stock one on the front because the front plate tends to get more abuse and MO requires a front plate (stupid law). Anyway, I am ordering the "Let's Motor" chrome plate for the rear from Classic MINI. They sell all the MINI accesories for lower than list. Their phone# is 440-205-6404 and their e-mail is bmwparts@classicautocampus.com. Ask for Brian. He is really nice. I ordered my floormats from him for around $85 shipped.

No, they require both plates. I am putting the plastic one from Roadshow on the front and the "Let's Motor" chrome one on the back.

*kicking self in head* Awhile back I saw a license plate frame that was brushed stainess and simply said COOPER S. The S was red.....and at the time I thought it was pretty cool, but I did not buy it...and now I can't remember where I saw it...hence the kicking self in head. Anyone have a site for these?

IMO putting a license plate fram with the name of your car is like putting a Powered By Mini sticker on the window....

Don't flame me, just my opinion!

I immediatly removed the Dealer Card off the Plate Brackets once I recieved the Keys...

Dealer came up to me and said "why are you taking that off?"
I could only look at him square in the eye and say "I've made you enough money already"
In Which he responded... "huh? What do you mean?"
So I shook my head and asked " If I keep this on the car, will you pay me $200 per month until I get my State Issued Plate?"
He laughed. I laughed. Then handed him his dealer AD Plate Cards.

End.

Very funny, Mighty. I told my dealer the day of pick-up to remove any and all references to his dealership. No stickers, emblems or plates. Nothing. The only thing on it was the license plate frame, but I came prepared with screwdriver.

Advertising space costs money...so pay up or shut up, I figure.
