Hmm, I just got my MINI and while I love the cloth, I can feel the lack of lumbar killing my back. Adding the official lumbar support would be cool, but I'm down with spending a bit on some seat covers that add it. I was told somewhere locally might be able to add some nice leather for about $700-$800, which sure beat's MINI's prices. However, I kind of like the cloth....

I'm resurrecting this year-old post as I've just retro-fitted lumbar support to my cloth sports seat - it's quick, easy and cheap, and I will post a "How to...." guide in the next week or so.

Andrew: Thanks for putting in the work to share with the rest of us how to retrofit our seats with the lumbar support. Can't wait to see your post and retrofit my '07 MCS with cloth sport seats. Thanks Mike
