I have bought the JCW leather dash kit and the downtubes . But will it fit my 2003 MCS? How different is the dash, can it be modified to fit 2003?

 

Did you buy the '05/06 kit?
The left side should fit fine, but the right side was not designed to work with the in-dash airbag. You should either disconnect the passenger airbag, or figure a way to secure the dash piece so it does not get propelled into your passenger at high speed. Given the design, and how the original is attached, I couldn't figure out a safe way of securing it.

I bought it from ebay for 350US, it has not been shipped yet

 

I dont think it will fit becuase the car you have is a 5piece dash and the one you bought is a 3piece dash something to do with the airbag on the earlier models that make it a 5 piece dash

You may want to contact the seller and try to buy him out of the deal. Offer him $50 not to send it or something.

 

The JCW Leather Dash is only made in 3 pieces. So it will not fit any MINI made before September 2004. The JCW Carbon Dash however will fit, as you can get that in both 3 and 5 pieces.

The downtubes didn't really change until 06 when the end became flared, so either the Leather or the Carbon will fit your car. Unfortunate for you buddy :(
