Toggle bank mod Question

For those that have taken apart their toggle bank, are the toggle switches hollow or solid? If hollow, would it be possible to use a small aftermarket toggle in the open hole on the switch bank and somehow mount a stock toggle over it to make it look stock?

Just kinda thinking' out loud...

The problem is that the circuit board for the whole panel is behind the opening. See my website for pictures ...

I understand that...in this page you see someone who cut his apart and mounted an aftermarket toggle switch. Doesn't look that hard, but I want my toggle to look stock. So is there a way to cut the top off a stock toggle and mount it on or in place of the aftermarket toggle.

Guess I should also have asked...are the stock toggles metal or plastic? Metal can be welded on but plastic would be a bit tougher and be durable...

The fog light ones have a lighted tip, so there's a tiny hole running up through them, but basically the toggles are solid plastic. I guess you could attempt to drill and then superglue?

Or maybe you could somehow replace the toggle on whatever you're going to slip in there with a factory toggle?

*also just thinking out loud*

Factory toggles are not real switches...that are plastic (as I just learned) levers that press on another piece of plastic that presses a contact on the PC board. That's why nobody has found a way to use the stock toggles for something like this.

Here is what the switch panel looks looks like. The hole would be where the light comes in for the rear fog switch. But all the other switches are solid in the tip. It looks like it would be pretty difficult to drill through also because the hole looks pretty small and unforgiving.

If you want to use one of the switch locations you might be able to wire something into the pins and wiring harness. Here is what it looks like and it isn't too hard to follow where the pins lead to on the board.
