JDM underbody wings?

Now where the heck does this mod come from (other than Japan :P). These puppies are sweet. I've seen a set on an SRT-4 and on another MCS on cardomain. Also found a topic about a dude selling em on here.

Know where I can get ahold of these beauties?

Looks like you can purchase them from his website...

Anywhere else, just in case he doesn't have anymore?

If you like spending money on useless things by all means see if you can buy them. The undercarriage of the mini is by no means setup in any fashion that the wings would be any benefit.

You could have a fabrication shop make them for like $30.

I think that is right up there with carbon fiber muffler bearings. Sweet.

Such a true statement! When I look at the underside of a Porsche or Audi GTPrototype (LM) car, I realize that splitters, underwings, diffusers on Minis are totally bling or BS. There is absolutely no way that the underside of a Mini is aerodynamically "clean".

How much for an "under body wing" thing. OMG

Don't be so quick to judge. Just the other day on the highway, I ran over a large piece of cardboard and it lodged underneath for several miles - I felt increased downforce . I'll go back and look for it and send it to you for testing .

Seriously, they might clean up some of the air flow BUT at what speed and to what degree makes these puppies more cute than anything else.

True, true. I'll bet that they don't hurt anything. If they were under $50 it wouldn't be bad to try. I'll add it to my list of random parts to pilfer out of the race team's scrap bins.

how about all the big spoilers and splitters that people put on thier car? seriously how many times do they need that much downforce on thier fwd car???? i don't think thier track machines that normally see triple digit speeds which these add ons can take affect... but people don't hate... if he wants to put it on then don't try to question it... look at all the people who put splitters and spoilers on thier car and use it mostly for daily driving, to show it off... and probably do some autox runs that don't go near triple digit speeds

I admit to having both and admit that they are more for style than anything else. Your right their functional value is on the track.
