Blackout - Satin or Gloss?

Getting ready to pull the trigger on the vinyl wrapped parts. From those of you out there that have done this, what looks best, and what are the reasons you went that way?

Comparison pics are also good.

Discuss...

I went with satin! I think it goes well with the flat color on the fenders. I am not a huge fan of gloss. My 2 cents. Check out my ride here: https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...d.php?t=134901 As you can see in one pic my grill surround is the JCW one, and it is alot more glossy.

Go satin if you want more of a stealthy look....

Gloss will make it "pop".....

Both look really sweet, It just depends on what look your going for.

I prefer satin

How does the satin you sell compare to the Scotchcal matte that people use on the R53s? I'm finding the gloss to be kind of an abrupt transition on the belt line when it's put against the rubber strip above. I read that the Scotchcal matches pretty well but it doesn't come in 5/8". Is the satin close?

I'm pretty sure the ScotchCal matte (low gloss) is the same matte belt line that we sell. It matches the rubber molding above and below the belt line.

Excellent. I'm going to have to place an order. So how much is on a roll? I tend to be picky about my craft and seem to redo things.

For anyone on the fence about gloss vs. satin, here's a shot to show the difference. Lyle's satin is Scotchcal and goes on great. I was OK with the gloss, but seeing the satin on the car has convinced me that's the way to go.

Either way...you can't go wrong. Lyle does an awesome job with the wrapping and the install. I couldn't decide between satin and gloss until maybe a month before AMVIV. I think Dark Silver with gloss works.
