Hello,

I am about to purchase a Cooper S and I need some inspiration for the stripes.

I currently have an Indy Blue Cooper with the standard stripes but I wanted something special for my new S. I will be getting a Chilli red with a white roof.

Can I get some inspiration from you very creative people out there?

What I had in mind was two parallel stripes up over the air intake in the centre of the bonnet that would continue down the back of the hatch lid. I have seen some great exmples of this in the photo area.

Does anyone have some photos to share so that I can be inspired to follow in your footsteps.

BTW I love the standard stripes on my Cooper. I think that they make the car a real head turner.

Talk to my friend Matt, from CooperFlags.com

Or just go to CooperFlags and look at what they've done.

D,

The proportions on those stripes are just perfect. Best looking center stripes I've seen to-date.

See ya,
JS

Hey Dan_C,
You're on the right track. There are soooo many nice stripes out there to choose from. Just remember, racing stripes aren't just for boots and bonnets anymore.

Good luck and show us what you come up with.

Thanks to all who quoted.

I would just like to thank all of you. Some of you guys have done some excellent aftermarket work on your minis. Most (in fact nearly all) of the minis I have seen on the roads of Australia (Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Brisbane) are standard Coopers with no external modifications.

I guess here in Australia it seems that the aftermarket is a little more limited. Does anyone know of a good place to this type of work in Sydney Australia?

thanks again and keep up the good work.

Contact Mark Cooper (Markc@IDT.com.au) with MINI Clubs of Australia. I know that he runs the MINI group over there and sets up some cool drives and social events and it looks like they might be our reps in that part of the world.

We just launched these last week - Stripes are pre-cut for S and non-S versions and for $99.00 you get the complete boot and bonnet set.

What are your thoughts on type of stripe combined with Rally Lights? I was completely set on adding viper stripes to my forth coming Indy Blue/White MC like in my signature. But I can't seem to help thinking that the standard rally stripes that point to the rally lights also looks pretty sweet.

The standard bonnet stripe is kind of plain to me, but with the rally lights, seem much improved. And of course because I've been staring at so many viper stripes, the stock bonnet stripes are looking more unique!!

Anyone have any examples of a sweet looking MINI with viper stripes and rally lights?

Also is seems there are 2 schools of thoughts on Viper Stripes. Two parallel stripes that avoid the logo (no cutting around it), or a stripe that just goes right through it. Logically avoiding the logo should be less time consuming and difficult, but is that really true?

I have the stock stripes and stock lights.

Of course, I'm about to swap the black light covers for yellow Lamin-x protective film. I'll post pics when it's done.

I had the standard stripes put on my car, but cooperflags now has a new G2 stripe. It's really cool and extremely unique.
