Look no further....

If you have fog lights, they will need to be moved to the "MCS" slot

thanks, had it done at Helix...their suggestion when they saw my cracked bumper. You'll see the slots for the MCS mounting of the fogs, I watched the install - wasn't too bad. I would imagine a body shop could get the Pepper White paint and do the bumper. I was lucky - it was a leftover from a local dealer doing the aero kits. My car is in the body shop right now getting the bonnet fixed - at least the bumper saved me some $$$. And it's a different look from the aero kit - more subtle.
I painted the tow hook red and put it on as well (not in pic)

it REALLY gives the car an aggressive look! Like Arnie says in "Predator" - "Do it....just do it!"

I had regular cooper bumpers painted Electric blue and it cost 200 per bumper. So you can figure it will cost you some where in that range.

It is about 1o screws/bolts to switch the bumper and 3 bolts (each side) to relocate the fogs. You will have to partially remove the inner fender liners to move the fog lights though (about 6 plastic screws per side). It should take a couple of hours to do.

That looks fantastic. Now you just need that lower chrome grille that fits into the MCS bumper!

The only downside is that you loose some chrome, which to some of us, is like loosing a dear friend.

Looks great. Did you need to replace the lower section of the fender flare as well?

You can't use the lower chrome grille, It does not fit on a cooper S bumper. I had both bumpers apart comparing things.

Changing the bumpers from cooper to cooper S is really simple.
For the front bumper you need to move the vents / foglights to the cooper S position from the cooper position, this is a simple thing to do, you also need an additional under bumper finisher trim to bridge the gap between the new cooper S cover and the radiator support panel.
The rear cover is even easier except for the fact that there is one screw at each side of the cover under the rear wheel arch trims and you need to pop the clip that secures the arch trim to get to the screw and this usually breaks that clip, you will also need a centre exit exhaust if you fit the rear cover as the cooper lower finisher trim does not fit the profile of the cooper S bumper cover.

I know this because i've done it to mine, i've also fitted the cooper S side skirts, I would attach photo's if I knew how to !

dandp - I love your car. It has finally convinced me that dropped looks better than stock, 17" looks better than 16", and MCS bumper looks better than MC bumper.

It has also convinced me to cease all modifications on my MINI Cooper and focus back on my project 240SX, because it just added to the list of crap I want for the MC now. I thought I was almost done, but no. You had to screw it all up.

Remus dual tip
Aerokit rear
MCS front
17" wheels
drop springs?

I will only complete the "amenities" section of my hopup list now like the euro shelf and crap like that. No more. Must stop the bleeding...

ruf...glad I could help out in the downward spiral And lowering the car does improve performance, so it's not just cosmetic...
