I don't understand why you guys do this. Give me a couple good reasons to take my rear wiper off? If its purely for looks, you guys really are, truly, Mini crazy. I would have to be pretty fanatic about the looks of my Mini to start taking off bits that help me see out.
I tell ya...You guys are crazy. ahaha

i used to use my wiper to clean the window of dirt and such.
i hated the arc of clean to dirty left on the glass though. it was like a way to show off JUST how dirty your car is.
once i tinted the rears (20%) i can't tell if the window was dirty or not, so i never EVER use the rear wiper.

Here's mine.......
It's an FSA (Full Speed Ahead) handlebar insert.
Mine is shaped like yours. Had to file that bottom side lip down a bit as it was just a tad larger in diameter than the hole in the glass.
Bought it, the stainless bolt and the SFN all for 5 bucks at the local bike store. The grommit I got at HD.

I decided to delete my rear wiper on a whim this afternoon. Checked NAM, got tips on how, and set about it. My wiper had rusted on, and after an hour and a half of pulling, tugging, greasing, soaking, and prying, I ended up just sawing it off near the rear window. Guess it's permanent now.
Once I got it off, I realized I had no plan to plug the gap. Figured I'd use a plastic cap from HD or something. Clearly didn't think it all the way through. DOH! Then I found this thread.....
I just got back from my local bike shop. Got a carbon fiber set up for $6!
it has a logo on it, but it'll do for now. Hoping COOPERCARDS is still selling the ones with wings! If not, I was surprised how cheap they are online. GREAT idea, thanks!

This was indeed a great idea. I recently found this thread and did the same. $3.00 in parts from my local bike shop.
I found a Motobecane topcap which worked out great because:
1) The Motobecane logo is an M with wings underneath which works really well on the MINI
2) I actually own a Motobecane bicycle
I didn't even have to buy a different grommet. I found that if you just reverse the stock one it works perfectly.
I'd also buy one from COOPERCARDS though if he still sold the ones with the MINI logo.

I am a huge fan of the top-cap!
Here is my issue:
Not one person has addressed disabling the actual rear washer pump.
I want to know how to keep my headlight washers and make sure anyone driving my car can't run the rear washer.
Thinking about removing/swapping a relay due to the washer motor "swings both ways" :-)
