S-Lite End Tables

Here are a few photos of my S-Lite end table. I will have the 2nd end table assembled shortly and both will shoulder my 'MINI Loveseat'.

Each table is/will be bolted together(felt buffers in between) by 2 custom made 9-3/4" bolts made from 7/16" threaded rod. The wraps were snipped from a new bamboo area mat and held in place by 4 wood screws. I even had enough left over bamboo material for a few place mats and some coasters! The top is 21" by 1/4" plate glass. I love tinkering/recycling! Enjoy!

Jeremy

Yes I know how can you have a loveseat without cushions.

Could be but I got the mat from Rona up here in the Great White North.

I'm not sure if I'm going to stain the bamboo strips or just Pledge em.

Sorry, the seats aren't really doing it for me, but the end tables are insane!

Great idea, excellent execution.

Woh 20" wheels-that's huge!

Show us your tables when you're done then!

That's one expensive table

I like the S-Lite end tables, the "love-seat" well not so much...

Have you considered putting some sort of cover over the bottom wheel so it makes the top wheel pop more?

Well you went to a wheel shop/online vendor for your BBS wheels, soooo try your local glass shops!

I'm using 6mm or 1/4" plate glass with 1 and 1/4" overhangs(21" all in). I think some 1/2" glass tops would look better and be more durable. Good luck PGT!

local glass shop is the obvious answer...they're just pricey so I thought I'd ask if there was another solution.

This site has competitive pricing compared to my local glass shops, but I stuck with a local shop.

perfect!! just goes to show....there's a site for anything you might want to buy. $65/delivered for what I need. My local glass shop charged me $50 for a thin piece of plate glass for a picture frame, so I shudder at 1/2" 23" round with beveled edge.
