Since the visors are useless in the MINI I got a visor CD holder to hold my CD's. I got it at Best Buy, it holds 12 cds and has a nice little cell phone holder too.

Oh yeah I put some green lights in the footwells and the dome light, it looks really cool at night.

Thank you thank you thank you soooo much, jwtucker.
You just saved me from having to dig up my old Car and Driver magazines.

Anyone else tried it out? The MINIs, with such a forward roof, definitely needs something
like this to help us see the overhead traffic lights.

The most important interior modification?

SCCA approved driving school.

Once you have this you can also transfer it to any other vehicle interior you find yourself in.

Ryan...you seem to be really into this "orderly lines" thing! Maybe we WANT anarchic melees when trying to get stuff?

If this thread had been posted a coupla weeks ago, I would have sold my old digicam here instead of ebay!

1. Hot Pocket by TVA is a must (It should have been provided by the factory.)
2. UUC Shift **** (because it's cool and shifts better)
3. Cargo net (high G force cornering requires EVERYTHING to be tied down!)
4. Trim rings for the gauges (gives a less cheap feel to the interior)

i used to be biggest fans of these. but i think 150 bucks for 3 cheap looking flimsy rings are overpriced. if u can find a cheaper alternative, chroming the whole part instead of gluing on a little piece, will look a lot better

i am doing it next week, and will post pics in about 4 years when i have a digi cam

I added the gauge cluster from ProMini that holds an oil pressure and boost gauge. You can never have too much info feedback while driving. Tiniting your windows will also improve your stereo!

Thanks guys for all the GREAT ideas I just picked up my MINI yesterday! GORGEOUS! I'm going to change the following things for my loved ones.

Chrome ring
Floor mats
MP3

I have more on my list but I can only afford the above for now Anyway, darwinLLM how much did you pay for the mats? What color did you get? Are these nice? BTW how about the custom made boots? Sound very interesting. I'm interested to get sthg that is different from others. Coz it's boring to have sthg that everyone gets!

What interior mods are a must? Depends on your budget-:D

For under $50
Broadway 270 mm flat rear view mirror
(see http://nextcollection.com/html/ORD-A...o-263-none.cfm )
Center console organizer/shelf
Glove box organizer- my favorite in this category

Single items for under a $100 each
Floor mats x 4
Momo shift ****- chrome and carbon fiber-my favorite in this category
Europarcel shelf
Chrome rings for speedo and tach

Priceless mods I done-
Total Audio upgrade: Nakamichi head unit CD-400, Xtant 4.4i 4 channel amp, MB Quart front component speakers and 6x9 two way rear speakers, JL Stealthbox Subwoofer and stereo plug aux input from dash.
