headlight ring removal

tried to do a search but didnt find anything....was wondering what involved with headlight ring removal...do the headlights need to come out? If the headlight needs to come out are the (3) tabs that I can see from the outside easy to remove?

Thanks!

Remove the head light(3 nuts). Carefully pry the tabs that hold the head light ring to the headlight.

use a jewelers common screwdriver and be real easy...youll most likely break one (i didnt) but just use 3M double sided tape and it will be fine!

pry the bottom and two side tabs. once those are free you can slide the ring upward and avoid dealing with the top 3 clips

get some high quality vinyl from any good sign shop. i got mine from a shop called sign-a-rama. they have stores all over the country. it cost me about 25 bucks for a 2' x 3' piece. as for applying it, use heat and be patient. i messed up a couple times but finally got it right.

Heat as in a hairdryer or do you need a heat gun?

hairdryer would be plenty...a heat gun gets too hot...if ur not careful with a heat gun, you could melt the rings, and/or your hands.

But then you could have awesome hooks for hands. Everybody wins in this situation.
