http://www.4wd.com/productdetails.aspx?partID=13226 for the Hella 500 Clear acrylic covers (you can turn the lights on with these on) They are 9.95 each and I believe $4.99 shipping total. They dont seem to rape you on shipping/handling like most other places I found. I looked for about an hour for the lowest price on these. (I was bored) =P

Here is a couple pics of the bar you are talking about installed on my car.
It is a very nice bar but imo the lights need to be closer to the bumper. Jusr look at the pics in my link and you will see what I am talking about. That can be fixed very easy tho. I was going to cut about 2" off the mounts and reweld them to bing it in close but I just made my own palo knockoff for $30 and 4 hours of my time. Here is how it turned out, would anyone be interested in buying the bar I made?

I know this is an old post but they look good.
How is the light bar holding up? Think they are still available? Where did you get the Hella's?

www.rallylights.com is a great source for the Hellas, though you an also get the driving light versions from Wal mart for like $68 the pair. The "new" 500's are "freeform", meaning clear lenses and the focusing is done with the reflectors (more efficient, more light, better looking). Mine held up great, excellent light, and I'm still on the OE bulbs 2.5 years later. I run the clear lens covers and, truth be told, both fogs picked up large stones and the lenses cracked, but they throw light just fine and I'm not planning on replacing them for a while.
If you have xenons, the OE bulbs are a little yellow looking, but the lgiht output is right where it should be. My next mod will be 100w bulbs, likely standard Hellas as a little yellow tint gives slightly-easier-on-the-eyes all weather visibility.
I still maintain that running fogs in the outboard positions and driving lamps inboard is a great way to use the lights. Runnign the fogs with the parking lights as the trigger, and the driving beams with the high beams as the trigger, allows all 4 to be on for either show or go, and all will turn off with the ignition (or at least the headlight warning binger will warn you).
The bar was made of carbon steel and the powdercoating does chip a bit. I also drive my car year-round in Pittsburgh's slushy gritty crap, so I ended up removing, stripping, and rattle canning the bar last year. Thankfully, it's 2 bolts and a trailer plug, and the thing's off. Throw a paint removal disc in the drill and 15 minutes later the things hanging up drying. once dry, another 15 minutes and it's on and adjusted. I'm glad I changed to stainess bolts and lubed them well when I installed them!
The bar itself would be easy-peasy-lemion-squeezy (and cheap) to make if you knew how to weld. Any metal would do, but if you had access to stainless or aluminum that'd be ideal. Wish I could weld!
If anyone finds a way to have these made, or if you track down Reddrockets, let me know as I have a friend who wants one!
