Headlight Protection?

Anyone get one of these yet? Post some pics.

They don't have pictures of the product on a Mini. How close in size/shape are they to the headlight?

Don't know about that one, but I put this one on shortly after getting the MCS.

The fit was pretty good. I have the R56 headlight washer version.

IIRC, they go on the same way vinyl stripes go on. You get them wet. Use a heat gun to help mold them to the curves. The fogs are more curved than the headlights, so take more care. Work from the center outward.

I have the Lamin-x kit in Blue. Easy to install, seems thick enough, and looks great!

I ordered the R56 headlight washer version from outmotoring.com.
According to there site “custom cut plastic panels install quickly with included tools”. today I tried to install them, the only thing is there’s no cut-out for the washers. if anyone has order the same one’s from Outmotoring.com can you let me know if they were pre-cut around the washers? or do I have to trim them...

They were precut for the washers. You got the wrong version. Did you see the popup menu where you select which model MINI you have? You may have ended up ordering the R53 version.

^ Post pics when you get the headlight kit. I'd love the "tint" one (I think that is the lighter one) but I'd like to hear real-world experience. I would also like to be able to pass inspection

Thanks for all the replies everyone. I think I may go with the Lamin-x clear one. I don't want the tint, just want to protect them.

Thanks Robin, I guess there was a mix-up at the factory, the package and the invoice has it for the R56 with washers. it happens...
