Gun Rack

Any suggestions on where to install a gun rack on my mini cooper. Should i just delete the back seats and put it somewhere in there?

Gotta mount it across the rear hatch glass - be sure to take pics when you get it installed!

Depending on how long your gun was you might be able to use the warning triangle mounting holes on the hatch. Just saying....

I tend to carry mine in the back in a nice gun case. Of course I am in Cali and round here the cops frown on loaded gun racks.

I wouldnt be so concerned as fitting a gun rack in your mini.... the thing that has me wondering is.. what if you use those guns to go hunting....
how are you going to get your deer bear.. or other 4 hooved creature home..

He could be hunting rabbit, duck, pheasant. In that case, plenty of room.

lol i wouldn't go hunting deer in my mini. I shoot birds and ducks. For the most part i do a lot of target shooting. It would be nice to sort out a way to get a 50 cal in the back of my mini with out re sighting it every time.

Yeah if you gave us dimensions it would be easier.

Yeah... you;re going to have a hard time with a Barrett or other full-sized .50

I had to change my choise of accessories, too. Seems only the MP5 or the M4 get to come out with the MINI

I was going to ask if you had a sawed-off shotgun, which would fit crossways, but... never mind.

You can always install one of these.

It'd be a big suprise for any Suburbans in your way.

That looks like that's just Velcro ties attached to the rear seats? Thats the look i want but for a bigger gun. I really don't think it is possible, the car just has its limitations on the size gun you can comfortably carry. Don't misquote me you can fit a .50 cal rifle in the mini but you have to dissemble it, and anyone who has fired on a long range course knows the time it takes to properly sight a rifle after assembly is rather time consuming. I would strap it to my roof but i might get pulled over to many times. I really do have some ideas but i think they all start with me havening no back seat.

I think your pretty safe keeping somthing in the hatch back. It's as secure as any trunk I've seen out there. Considering you have to open the rear hatch to get to the seat release.

Now having a loaded mag in the gun, though... that would be a violation here in WA. Secure in a locked container or in the truck and unloaded.

you could just get a concealed weapons permit and keep it in the car any way you like.

It makes a great statement on a mini don't you think. My car is smaller than your doubleaxlebehemith but i can drop a 12 point at 1000 yards
