Replacing Interior Trim Pieces on '07 S

I just picked up a used '07 yesterday that I wanted to correct some ordering issues on.

The car is Pepper White/Black with the Rooster Red leather/cloth interior.

The dealer that ordered it, spec'd it out with the Gray Color line, and the silver checkered trim.

I'd like to put the Rooster Red color line, and the Piano Black trim in it.

Is this possible?

If so, what's the ballpark cost to do so, if I had to order the pieces from a Mini dealer?

Any other suggestions?

Thanks,

Pete

You can start here by seeing what pieces you need and their numbers:
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partgrp.d...3&mospid=50030

Then go to pelicanparts.com and enter the part number for each.

There is a local guy that did his colorline himself and he said that it was no big deal. It came out great looking. Do a search and you will find the thread. The dash trim parts are something that you could paint yourself if you wanted to save a BUNCH of money. The dash parts are not cheap. You could wrap them in a black vinyl if you wanted as the curves are not that complex.

Good luck to you!

That was me (painting colorline) pics in Sig below. As far as dash panels wraping them in vinyl is it a gloss vinyl or? That sounds like a good idea.....Cause I want to paint my dash panels to gloss black like the "piano black" ones.

I was wanting to do the brushed aluminum interior, but from the parts list it seems to only allow carbon black. The descriptions are listed but without a part number for each one.

+1

This is actually something I had started about 6 months ago. The only piece I could get off was the secret compartment. I can't get the checkered rings on the door or the checkered piece above the steering wheel off. I've been driving around without a secret compartment piece almost ever since I got my MINI!

A little guidance would be great before I drop the $400+ for the color line pieces (plus $67.25 s&h )

How is the vinyl paint holding up on the color-line? Any of it rub off? Can you put normal pressure on it without it cracking? Thanks and yours looks great, btw!
