R53 Checkmate/U-style stripes on an R56 MCS ?

I really liked the old U-style stripes, but I haven't seen any done on the new R56 bonnets.
Has anyone tried this with the re-shaped front end ?

eg.

(pic taken from the '08 NAM calendar gallery)

My wife's finally reconsidering allowing some stripes.
Any pictures of your stripes on a LiB/Black (or any other color) R56 would be appreciated

Haven't seen any in person... but Aestetic Creations sells them and might have some pics on their site:

The R56 doesn't have the bump in the middle of the hood like the R53 did, I think this is AC's answer for the R56

That's the pinstriped "GPI Stripe" according to their site.

Bump or not, if you actually looked at the first page of the link I provided, you would have seen that they do offer the Checkmate style U-stripe for the R56:

Under the pull-down "Model" window, it clearly separates the 07-07 S Coupe from the cabrio. A variety of colors and patterns are availible too according to thier site.

ah, you're missing the point, I'd like to see how it'd look on the R56, on the R53 it looked really good as it wrapped around and emphasized the little bulge in the middle.
The new hood and scoop have a different profile.

Ahhhh, I get it! So to answer your question more specificlly... no I haven't actually seen the U-shaped stip on a car yet.

I would bet though, that you could make it look "right" by making the outside line of the U follow the new tubo hood buldge... while the inside cutout mimics the angle and maintains a uniform thickness throughout. Just think... you could be the first!
