Dead pedal removal
Has anyone removed the dead pedal from the R56? Any hints would help.

Dead Pedal
I took mine off to upgrade to stainless...
There was a small tab on the upper right portion that you can pry gently with a screwdriver and it pops right out.
Not sure it matters what model you have.
My guess is they are pretty much the same.
Good luck.

Sure, I could part with it for $15, plus shipping.
I also have the OEM brake and clutch pedal covers that I just replaced, as well as an entire gas pedal mechanism...just don't know what they be worth.

Sold on the dead pedal.
I would take the others if they were for an automatic.

I guess I won't be taking the dead pedal after all. This is what I thought the pedal looked like for the MCS.

The dead pedal is where you rest your foot when you are not using the clutch.

I took the dead pedal out. Had to break the foam under the carpet. It was only an hour before I put it back. If i could get another from mini, I'd modify it. But it doesn't seem like its available without buying the entire carpet. For now I'll live with the dead pedal the way it was designed. I still feel that its too close to the clutch.

Why do you want to remove the dead pedal? Does it get in your way?
