Replacement Euro Parcel shelf clips/screws

I received a used one today but it did not include those nasty little blue clips or screws. Any idea where I can get them? Or a suitable replacement?

Please be specific as I don't know what they look like and can barely tell a bolt from a screw .

Thanks

(ps: Are they critical? Will the shelf stay on without them?)

Mine have sat in the cupholder for 6months but you really should put them inincase you were to get into an accident. Once I finishup a few wiring do-dads I'll be slipping them in. Might check real OEM tosee if the shelf has supplemental part #s as I doubt you'll find blue the plastic clips, but most similar sized screws should fit ok, however if you'regoing to the dealermight as well get the whole kit.

i just got one too missing the clips. i ordered some from my mini dealer, but no telling if they'll ever come in or not. They only cost 50 cents each, but my dealer is an hour and a half away so I'm going to have to have a friend pick them up and send them to me in the mail.

any alternatives out there that we can pick up from a regular auto supply store?

In my case the mounting hardware wasn't necessary (although I used it anyway). My parcel shelf fits very snugly and takes some effort to pull out even without the hardware.

The parts can be seen here (items #7 and #8). The left side was easy to screw in. The right side is awkward because the fastener fits loosely and moves around as you try to screw into it -- helps to first tape the fastener in place. You can do just as well if you improvise with whatever you find at the hardware store.

No luck. Went to Pep boys and found only one part remotely close to the one in the installation pictures. Dind't fit (some interior lip on the clip kept it from going up all the way).

Mine is pretty loose, really wan't to get this attached properly.

PS: the snap-in clips in the back are a PITA...

If I needed some, I'd go to the local hardware store and paw through their hardware aisle... I'd think you'd be able to find some kind of threaded clip that would work, or could be made to work... (maybe even better than OEM...)

Look for something like this in the hardware store:

It's just a piece of metal folded over and threaded for a screw. This is essentially a metal variation of the OEM plastic nut/clip.

FWIW, I never snap in the back clips. I've had my shelf out dozens of times for various projects, and it holds just find without clipping in the back (and only using the left screw - the right one is a major PITA for me.

That's what I used on my clipless parcel shelf.

At the risk of regretting this, send me a PM with your address and I'll send you a pair of clips and screws. When I got my shelf years ago it came with a bag full of clips and screws.

The offer is open for anyone if you really need them till I run out which will be a day before I will need some for something. <G>

Wish I'd seen this earlier...I already ordered some. I needed a new fender arch (mine got scuffed pretty badly) so I added some clips to the order.

That said, I REALLY appreciate the offer!
