Easy to remove stripes?

I was just curious if I got sport stripes, then grew tired of them later on, how easy is it to get them off? Thanks...

Easy enough.
Hair dryer, peel, wipe off residue (or so I'm told...)

I used a hair dryer and they peeled right off with very little residue. Cleaned that off with alcohol. Very easy!! These were factory stripes.

The stripes were on my car when it was made in 2004 and I took them off in August of 2006 and there was no discoloration that I could see. I have a family member that has been a factory line paint inspector for a big auto manufacturer for the past 20 years and he couldn't see any difference either. (if that counts for anything)

When I took mine off I didn't even need a hair dryer. That might be why it took me so long though. It was really hot and humid out, as it is in August in Kentucky, I just used some Turtle Wax Bug and Tar remover and everything was gravy!

I got bored and removed mine during a hurricane. It didn't take too long and wasn't difficult at all. I don't remember using anything more than a spray bottle of water with some dawn in it.

I removed a two-year old set. Took me all of 25 minutes, including prep time and removal of the residue.

Nope, no shadowing or discoloration whatsoever. You wouldn't have known there were ever stripes on the bonnet. And this was on Jet Black.

Now... don't get me wrong, there have been some horror stories about removing stripes. Probably depends on who supplied them, if the car was garaged or not, how it was maintained etc. See Octane Guy for one of those horror stories.
