was just wondering if anyone has already replaced their pedals with the 03 MCS (metal) pedals.... where did you get them? (at least a cheaper alternative than the dealer  ) and was it pretty easy to install? heard that the gas pedal was a bit tricky to install... thanks.

The only place I was able to find all 4 pedals was the dealer for about $115. The gas pedal was a little tricky but if you do a search on MCO you will find some pretty good instructions & helpful tips. I know Moss MINI sells a set that is similar but only 3 pedals(no dead pedal & they are not the originals)

I had an '02 and now an '03 S. IMHO there are better pedals you
can get than the '03 style for less $.

I bought and installed 03 pedals into my 02. I like how the pedals matched the dead pedal. And as the monkey man said there are better pedals out there for less money but these sure do look good. And nothing will fit like these do without some type of drilling or rigging. Heres a picture of mine.

There may be more expensive after-market pedals out there, but IMO, none of them touch the looks of the '03 S. I saved some money: bought the brake, clutch, and dead pedal and used a second dead pedal for the gas pedal- read about it months ago on a MINI2 thread. Looks great and costs much less. You'll need to carve off some plastic ribs on the underside of the dead pedal till it's flat, get some silicone adhesive, and clamp it to the old pedal. Easy to do. A tiny bit of the old pedal shows if you get down in the footwell to look, and some have sawed a bit of it off previous to glueing on the dead pedal. I didn't bother, and I couldn't be happier.

These are the pedals I had in my last S. Functionally, I thought
they were great. For looks alone though, the '03 pedals, as the
Bullman says, are the way to go.
I ditched the accel pedal. Great grip and feel.

..and BTW..no drilling required.

I put the 03 MCS pedals on as well. The gas pedal was a bit of a pain - a bit stubborn on my car. But the look is well worth it over stock. I paid $105 from the dealer.
