Head Light Tint

I know that this is obviously in here somewhere, but for the life of me, I can't find it. I'm looking for the yellow tint film for my headlights on my '04 Mini S (w/ washers). Can someone point me in the right direction of a vendor who carries them please? Sorry to post this knowing its out there somewhere, but I'm frustrated that none of the mainstream Mini Part Distributors I frequent seem to carry them anymore. Thank you.

moss mini has them. their online catalog is a bit confusing and the search function doesn't seem to work w/ safari (the mac browser), but they have it. if you call them they'll find it. it's ~40 bucks

Moss only has blue. I'm looking for yellow to match my Alta light bar driving lights.

Go here http://lamin-x.com/ecommerce/os/cata...6be24cef6d5f5e

I have their regular tint, it's very easy to put on, but takes a little while to settle for all the air bubbles to come out. It's good stuff.

does the blue tint enhance the light transmission of your fogs at all?

COR BLMY - same question for you, does the yellow enhance the transmission of your headlights? Btw, the red, black and yellow is just ridiculously sweet! I've always loved red car, black wheels and yellow brake calipers (i know yours has red calipers) - i'm just saying that you've captured a brilliant color combo that screams, I'm a FAAAAASSSTTTT car!

The biggest advantage I have with them is on my backroad twisies and in general, the yellow light is easier on the eyes, pupils dialate and the rods are more sensivite, I notice more contrast and can spot deer cats racoon skunks etc before I see their eyes, which was much more difficult with the white.

From the SAE study on the matter
BTW I read that whole study and some background on other websites before making the switch.

And here is a thread I started on the subject ages ago
Hope that answers your question.

I do think that it does deminish the light output a bit ... or it could just be the yellow hue that you see.
My zeions are still brighter than most other cars when I am next to them and lookinf forward.

Thanks for the complements on the red , yellow , black.
My race wheels will be powdercoated YELLOW next seasion.
and Yellow graphics ... maybe even #s

I'd say it mostly for esthetics anyways. They definitely diminish the output a tad.

I just put yellow films on my fogs. What do you think? Im still undecided at this point. Go ahead, be honest... I can take it.

I just finished my TSX projector retrofit, and the same day, I got my laminex. What a Monday!!

Should I keep em?

According to the CHP that pulled me over this past weekend "ANY film over the headlights is illegal in California!". However since I was not cited and only given a verbal warning, I did not try to challenge his opinion. I did have a copy of the portion of the CA vehicle code that applies to headlights in my glove compartment, but felt that a handshake and well wishes far outweighed any benifits of a challenge. Perhaps I may face this issue again in the future, if so, I will be prepared.

Happy Motoring
