Astro Black MCS's

I have an Astro Black MCS and was going through the threads and seeing how great MINI's look with different color headlight rings, door handles, mirrors, scoops, grills, etc. Does anyone have pictures of an Astro Black with these bits. For anyone who has seen an astro black, you know that the car isnt a true black and has sort of a midnight blue tint to it. I was wondering what these mods and what color blacks would look nice against the AB paint. I really want to experiment but rather see some pictures first.

So if anyone could point me in the right direction or drop some photos in here, that would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thanks!

I actually was just going to start a similar thread. I want to get rid of the chrome but not sure how true black will look on this wannabe blue black car of mine here.

LOL. That was someone standing in the distance at the top lot at Mt Wilson where that pic was taken. I just noticed that it looks like an antenna add-on.

Thought I'd throw up a couple of mine. On the showroom floor just before I drove it home.

Sorry, I forgot to add that I have the Chrome Line pack - interior and exterior. Initially I didn't really care for all the chrome trim on the exterior. Now I quite like it and don't plan on changing any.

Looks like the OZ Ultraleggera's. Contemplating getting them for my PW/B. They look awesome on your AB, TrboKrt.

Are those 18's? How's the ride?
Those tyres look like rubber bands!

They are the 18" OZ Ultraleggera's with Yokohama S.drive tires in 215/35/18. The ride is better than with my former RF's but not bad actually.

The mat finish goes well with the plastic trim on the MINI so they don't look out of place to me.

Looks good Mike.

You're running some pretty meaty tires there. Did you do anything else to the suspension besides the JCW? How do you find it rides day to day?

I plan to basically head where you've gone with yours except I'm not adding the aero kit.

Everything is stock or JCW - nothing additional except, of course, the wheels and tires.

The tires are Bridgestone Potenzas and they are ultra high-performance all seasons. They were pretty good on the track, although, I will be getting a dedicated set of wheels and tires for next track season.

Since they are non-runflats, I think they balance the ride out nicely day-to-day (I had the stock runflats on there for 1000 miles.) It's firm and responsive but not distracting on an average road. I drove 250 miles last Sunday it was really nice (first "long" trip in the car.)

From the looks standpoint, I'd highly recommend the JCW aero kit.
