IF i cut the strap, can it be re installed, it just will mess up the airbag? can i just disconnect the airbags in the A and C pillars? i really could care less about them, lol.

ive heard there's a way to get the pillars off without cutting the strap/breaking anything, and reinstalling them.
If you remove them the way you are supposed to, you will break the plastic clips. Cutting the straps and reinstalling the covers won't hurt the airbags, but it will probably hurt you when the cover comes flying at you and your passenger if the airbag deploys.

How would I disconnect the airbags so they won't deploy ever? (just the pillar ones)

i just used a soft tipped pry bar very gently, borrowed a buddy to help, and took my time. i actually did it over the course of 3 days lol

if you aren't in a rush and just work the clips you can get them off without breaking them, just have to look at them and make sure you aren't pushing the clips in the wrong direction etc

hope that helps a bit

i remember it was quite frustrating
Ya see I got the back ones off as far as the clips go, but its that strap. Is there way to get the strap off without cutting it? Or do you HAVE to cut it?

Ive already told you how to take them off.. . Okay, one more time...the red marking is the path of the airbag. It's one piece. The connector is a small green piece. Theres no reason you should want to disconnect them unless you have a full cage. But whatever. There is a Torx bolt that holds on the front of the airbag. As far as the black straps go...you have to work at the clip with a few small common screwdrivers. Everyone is right..the pillar covers are one time use...but CAN be pulled off intact if you take your time. I dont know how much more we can say. If you decide to cut the straps its your call. Here is a dirty a## pic of the interior of my car when we were gutting it...

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

lol

the A pillars i got out, all clips and straps are fine.

the C pillars....well....i hate to say it, but....i killed them...sorta

i COULD NOT get the straps off. i cut them in frustration.

the pillar isnt gonna fly and hit anything in the event the airbags deploy, except hit the back of my box.

who cares?

when the day comes that the box comes out, ill buy 2 new C pillars, no biggie.

That's the same thing I am doing, but charcoal instead of black. I'm curious to see how yours turns out.

Im now sorta debating doing black vinyl on the pillars. What do you think? Im more on the suede side, but vinyl is still an option.

The top dash will be vinyl though, thats why im thinking suede
