2 Tone Bonnet

I had to replace my hood and was thinking about
painting the new hood with two colors like tul's carbon fiber hood.

I have an astro black car so i'm considering black with white or dark silver.
Anyone think two toning is good or ugly?

I think it all depends on color choice and were you paint. You might have bonnet stripes painted on in white, or something around the hood scoop. Make some drawings and post them so we can see what your ideas are.

I think that the two tone can look really nice in some situations. But, if you do a white center, I think that might be a little too much. Dark Silver would look really cool, but then you may want to think about painting the hood to match. Just my 2 cents though

Depends on what color your roof is. I think an Astro Black bonnet with a Dark Silver center section would look cool, but maybe not so much if you have a white roof. In that case, I'd be more inclined to go with a wide white stripe edged with black.

I think you should come up with a design, and do something along the lines of a ghost image/finish. That said, you need a color very very close, but not the exact same as Astro Black.

I am in the same situation donjulio. i have a carbon fiber hood on the way, im thinking about painting it like this:
(Im running a red stripe a quarter inch off the paint line(the black represents un-painted carbon fiber))

I also ordered an aero bumper and an aero grill.
Im blacking out the headlight rings as well.
