rear view mirror

I'm having a problem with a blind spot looking forward! Anyone know of a rearview mirror replacement or relocation so us tall guys can see past the mirror?

Lots of verbage has been discussed about this. Lower your seat and you will get used to it.!

I just came to the conclusion that I am an idiot! I did not realize that the steering wheel telescoped until I read a review here. When you suggested lowering the seat I thought maybe I should look. who knew there was an uppy downy lever on the left side?

Rear View Mirror

Lowering the seat doesn't solve the problem for me. I'm 6'3"...right turns are a b***h. I ran the Dragon (N.C.) at midnight last week, and really realized what a problem the rear view mirror is for us tall guys. I'm searching now for a smaller replacement mirror, and will post here if I find something. Hope others will do the same.

the lowered seat helps me a little but I'm not comfortable with the position. A smaller replacement, higher and farther back would be a vast improvement!

I agree. The mirror really obstructs my view up high.

REAR VIEW MIRROR

Years ago, I bought this mirror for my Miata, but didn't install it. It would have to be mounted on the dash. I installed an adjustable mirror on a rod that runs from top to bottom of the windshield. The mirror can be adjusted up or down on the rod. I'm thinking that something like that might work on Minis...or a mirror installed to the windshield lower down...

Ditto! I have a 2005 convertible and I am 6'8" getting used to it is not an option, I will take it out but would like to get a smaller one. Silly in the convertible (with the tiny rear window) to have a huge mirror to view the inside of your car :P

Please help!

haha, I find the same with my Mini....but I'm not tall at all. I'm 5'7" and I feel that I have to tilt my head down when looking up toward the mirror. I guess I just have to get use to it.

It is just more bulky then my other cars I've had or drive on a daily basis.
