Gold Plated Badging

I came across this site off a link for Gold Plated Apple iPhones and found that they have gold plated badging for the Mini Cooper S:

http://www.goldstriker.co.uk/automotive.html

It's not exactly my style, but I figured someone on here would appreciate it.

I can kind of understand the Jaguar, and even the Mercedez and M3 badges, but why would anyone want a gold plated Honda Type R logo?

As for the Cooper S, I just posted this for interest sake and I figured I should note this isn't something I would ever want to do to my car.

Wowzie.

Only 149 English pounds. What a deal!

And how much faster can I go with that?

And what's to keep some vandal from coming by and ripping it off.

Seems rather risky to me.

The gold plated iPhone does look kind of slick. Just subtle accents, however the gold plated iPods and Emblems are rather over the top.

Truly for the person who has everything but who still never has enough. Paris Hilton would be interested in these -- if she had a MINI.

I don't think they have actually sold any of these sets, because anyone who would buy these would also want matching plating on their side vent grilles and gas cap, etc. Why would they stop at the exhaust tips?

Oh, YEAH...

Gotta order my airbags n' dubs first. Make it a Unique whip before I step up to gold.

I'm serious.

Ok, not really.

I think an AB/AB MINI with a gold viper stripe would look good dechromed and with the gold wings (and maybe lettering). Definitely NO on the exhaust, and an even bigger NO if any original chrome is left on the car.

Kind of in that, Smokey & the Bandit/ Trans-Am sorta way, yeah... I could see that.

Brave to attempt it with a MINI.

Eeek, noooo. That was just scary

I'm looking for a pic I saw here a couple of days ago of an AB with gold where it would fit.

10/4 good buddy, over and out

You obviously haven't seen some of the cars on NAM then. I would go as far as to say half of the ones on here are ugly.

the mini-madness car has this stuff (complimenting the ugliest bodykit as well ). I can't find the rear pic that showed the 'cooper' in gold....it used to be on the site.

I like to think its a bit less tacky....but my BBS wheels have a bit of gold plating
