This may be a bit unbalanced, but there is something that I really love about this look

More Straßentech lips coming & a new roof spoiler gurney

Hey everyone,

We have another shipment of FRP lips coming and they will be ready to ship next week. Way was going to organize a GB back in May, but it never seemed to get off the ground. We're still offering them for $399.95 with free shipping for NAM and BimmerPages members. You can find them in our online catalog here.

FYI, Straßentech has been developing a roof spoiler gurney for the past year. They will be releasing the new product in the next couple of weeks and we plan on offering a package deal with the front lip and gurney. Existing Straßentech lip owners will be offered courtesy discount to thank you for your patronage and support. Actual pricing of the product and package is still TBD. Stay tuned.

Bob

In the mean time, check out this pic of the new roof spoiler gurney...

That is a pretty good looking pic as long as it does not cost the same as the Uber spoiler piece.

Ask...and you shall receive. LOL Check it our below.

You can't see as much detail, but it will give you an idea of the profile from below. The bar10girl car will be at the weekend's autocross in San Diego I'm attending (and will probably stomp my E46 M3 times ). We'll get some more pics.

Hi JCW Driver,

Thanks so much for your interest.

Actually, all carbon fiber versions of Straßentech products are made of all carbon fiber and are not overlays. This is one of the reasons for the premium prices that are associated with Straßentech in the BMW market. This adds to the manufacturing costs. Below is a picture of the Straßentech CF lip for the MCS. Note that the CF weave is running front to back on the car instead of the normal 45* angle. The 45* angles is the natural direction of the weave. To achieve that look the CF must be cut on a bias, which results in more wasted fabric, but is the only way to get that beautiful, unique look.

Regarding availability, I we have some of the FRP version of the roof gurney on order and should be ready to start shipping sometime next week. This is all very new. In fact, we don't even have the product in our catalog. I'll post a link to the product once it's in the catalog. We will offer free shipping on pre-orders and have some ideas for packages with the front lip.

My thanks to everyone for all the positive comments and the support from our existing MCS Straßentech customers.

Bob

Sorry, but it will only work on the MCS OE front bumper.

We have a couple more pics and we can take some more this weekend of one of the cars that already have the new rear lip.

I'll post what we have later tonight.

I think it's great companies like Bimmerperformance bring in hard-to-attain items like Straßentech. I too purchased the front spoiler from Bob and looking forward to installing it next weekend. Personally I like the design of the Palo Uber rear wing over the Straßentech but it's all about having options.

We've got to show these vendors some love for bringing in items for our discontinued R53!!

I've had my StraBentech lip for a few months now and really like it. I get a lot of positive comments from other MINI owners.

I took the front bumper off to do the install, as per the directions. It is NO trouble at all to install.

Hey Richard,

it was great meeting you in person yesterday and putting a face with a voice.

Bob

BTW...your tire was only flat on the bottom...

We have almost 70 pics of Saturday's Autocross event in San Diego here. We enjoyed hanging out with all the Mini guys/girls.
