Aluminum floor mats w/ diamond pattern

I am interested in getting a set – has any one had experience (good or bad) with these floor mats ?

I've driven a couple cars with them. I'm not a big fan, and the two guys I know that had them got rid of them. They are slippery when wet and not all that comfortable on the feet. The fit is a big concern, it has to be perfect, otherwise is looks like poo.
Also, one guy had his carpet hacked up by the edges of the mat.

IMHO, non functional and weighty, and they scratch. Bling, though, and nice attention-getter for shows. Rubber in winter (removed as necessary to allow underlying carpet to dry), coco or carpet in summer.

I have them. I'm not sure why, but I can interchange them with my MC and MCS and the fit is ok [even though they were made for the MC]. Yes, they can be slippery when wet, but I usually wear shoes with non-skid soles, anyway, so it is not a real problem. They clean up nicely and always draw attention when people look inside the car at shows. When winter and its sloppy weather come, I just take them out and put my rubber mats back in until nicer weather returns.

I don't see them as being any more uncomfortable when driving on long trips [than the distance factor and the foot position during that time] than any other mat.

Mine do not attach to the carpet, so they slide around a bit. When I first got them, that used to irk me and I thought the carpet might get damaged, but it hasn't, and I have been using these since '04.

I have a set with the euro pattern for sale. They are very light weight and look great when showing your MINI. PM me for details

Twister - if I had the $$, I'd make you an offer, I really would. Love those mats (although I'd paint them black if I used them in my car). LMK if you ever go nuts and lower your price for any reason, OK?

I know taste is a very individual thing. That being said those floor mats look like the mud flaps on the Hill Jack's jacked up 4x4 down the road from here.
