I was sitting in my car the other day and I got to thinking. It wouldn't be too hard to make replacement smoked plexiglass windows that would replace the ones for the speedo and tach. You would have to use our lights all the time so the light could shine through, but it would be sweet. If it wasn't that dark, maybe you wouldn't have to use your lights. Does anyone know how to take the windows off?

well, you have to take the air diverters' rings off by turning them clockwise and pulling them off, then take the front panel off, there are two screws at the bottom of the top lip, and I think one on the bottom. Pull that thing off. Then you expose the speedo. however the glass is a solid one-piece thing, that goes into the sides too and connects to the rest of the speedo. I don't know if it'd be such a good idea.

On the other hand, you can apply the "smoke" film right on top of the speedo plexi once you took the front panel off, that wasy it will look neat and won't stick out anywhere.

Good luck, if you succeed, take pics, post 'em.

Why not just wear dark glasses so that everything looks "smoked"
as must be your brain.
All in fun

Why go thru all of that when you can buy window static sheets, then cut to size.

Ya, my local wal-mart has some static cling tint, so you could just cut it to size and apply it to the outside. That way you can test it out at night and such, and take it off if you dont like it.
