It's a garage !! It holds cars, cleaning supplies, two tool boxes, a refrigerator, and some miscellaneous stuff.

See ?? ....

And if you think my garage is "too" nice, you haven't seen ANYTHING. Check out this garage: <drooling

Well, thanks everyone for your responses. I called up Mike at AC today, and after talking for awhile about what I want, he convinced me to go with the perforated vinyl. I know everyone was ragging on it, but he said it is really good stuff, and it will give me the light transmission I am looking for.

I park in covered parking at home and at work, so Winston is never really baking in the sun all day. Mike said the perforated vinly should last at least 2 or 3 years under those conditions. At only $150, I can afford to replace it after 2 years if it starts to look like crap.

Of course pics will follow once I get it installed!

Very cool, Matt (assuming your NAM name is a play on your real one).

You did your research and ordered what works for you. And yes, if it's covered both at home and at work, it should last much longer than if it spent a lot of time in the sunlight.

Can't wait to see your finished product !!

Better ask for a pic from inside the car. From the outside, it'll look just like the regular vinyl.

Well, the second part of your answer is encouraging. I thought it would look kind of "fuzzy" due to the perforations. So, pics from the inside looking out will be very helpful, too.

There is a picture in my gallery of my perforated roof graphic. I have had it now for two years with no issues.
Sorry no inside/out pics.

I'll have one soon!

Mike said my checkers should ship out today. I'll post pics of the inside and outside as soon as I install it!

Hey, I know those guys! Nice graphic. So, how does it look from the inside? Does it block (much) light? Is it like looking through the Mini mesh screen? How much time is your car outside? I don't have a garage and am concerned about plunking down almost $400 for something that maybe will last 2 years.

Thanks for the compliment

You're right it is like looking through the mesh screen. No big deal were light is concerned. My car spends most of the time in the garage and if it is outside for any length of time I use a cover.
The folks who installed it advised me that it would have a limited life due to sunlight etc. plus the material is predominantly used on vertical surfaces.

I'm not sure if there is a perfect solution. That is one of the reasons I chose a low key graphic with darker colours, to minimze fade.

Cheers,
