Interior/Exterior tint recommendation in Indy area, shaved edges and vinyl
tint recommendation in Indy area, shaved edges and vinyl
looking for a tint installer in the Indianapolis area who can do shaved edges and uses vinyl to deal with the dot-matrix edges of the windows.
i've found plenty of folks whose work seems high quality, but when i ask about those two techniques, i get the deer in the headlights look.
any suggestions?

A good tinter won't need to do anything extra to make the dot matrix look good. I did my own tint and just used a heat gun to heat up the edges and stretch the film to conform to the dots.(stretch is probably the wrong term, just heat and roll it with a rubber roller) The blend is perfect.
Not sure what the shaved edges are. I'm wondering if thats the technique of trimming the door windows at a 45 so there's less risk of peeling. I'm betting that most installers do it without thinking or "naming" the technique.
