I want to paint the plastic intake scoop on my hood. Has anyone removed this piece? Can it be done easily or should I try to paint it in place? Appreciate any input. Thanks.

I have seen photos of a red car with a white intake.. i believe it was a MD car, or at least at a MD gathering. I'm interested too, as I want to look into having mine Chromed.

I think it needs to be accented.

I dont know about an r36 hood scoop, but an r32 is very easy to take out. I have had mine out many times, all you need to do is unclip a few little panels, unscrew i think four 8mm nuts and it lifts right out!
