I'm going to replace my clear back up light with a red rear fog light in my 04 Mini. It looks very easy to remove, but I was just wondering if there was some little tricks I should know about?

Very easy. Reach up over the exhaust tips (might want to wait for them to cool down) and feel for the pressure clips, one on each side of the light. Squeeze the clips and the light will pop out.

what lights are you gonna use when you back up?

will the fog only come on with the reverse?

 

I won't have any reverse lights because I'm putting the red one as a reflector. I get pulled over way too much becaue of my tinted tail lights. The CHP told me if I had one red reflector I could get around the law. I have been stopped 5 times just this month.

Hey Mario, sorry to hear about all the tickets, Im going for a black out look on my car and i didnt want to smoke the tail lights for fear of racking up tickets so i bought these Altezza lights with the black backrounds, actually got them on Ebay for only $29, only issue i had was my car is 2006 with reverse light in the taillight, and the custom ones had no spot for a reverse light, so i added the reverse light where the fog light goes.

 

Where are you getting the red reflector? I'm tired of looking at the plastic thing...
