Hey Cody,

The Lumma/Rieger bumper cover is fiberglass and does work with stock arches, but the black areas on the bumper are painted.

It's not on their website that I could find, but call up GrillCraft and ask for the universal grill material. I think it's a 12x48 sheet ($50) and it is uncoated, so you need to paint or better yet powdercoat it (I had mine powdercoated locally for $5), then cut to size and it just screws into some tabs on the back of the bumper. I have a template if anyone wants to borrow it.

I picked mine up from the guy who owns the yellow one above, he had a extra one he decided he didn't need.

Good Luck, Joe

Yuck, why did they make it fiberglass? Especially for $550, that's a rip off. That's a total turn-off. I can't believe a company that would sell a bumper for $550 would make it fiberglass.... that's really disappointing.

Most aftermarket bumpers are fiberglass with gelcoat. Plastic parts are nice, like the MINI factory parts, but the setup costs are high of the manufacturing equipment. Thus a low volume custom front bumper is going to be best made with fiberglass. My body guy, who sees lots of fiberglass body kits for all kinds of vehicles said that this german made fiberglass bumper was the best he's ever seen. Most ricer fiberglass parts for JP cars are junk, but this one is a quality part.

Later, Joe

I have no personal experience with German-made fiberglass, but I DO know the JP fiberglass you are talking about, and that stuff is just junk. I still would like it to be urethane...

How do you think the fiberglass meets up to urethane?

That looks pretty good other than the side trims.. Why did they use glossy black?
My Hamann bumper is fiberglass too and I'm never getting a FRP bumper again. I bumped into my friend's car going maybe 5-10mph and it cracked. His urethane bumper had zero damage.

My bumper came with these thick 3M stickers for the side trims and they are very close match..

Anyone know where I can find more of this stuff?

^ Yea that's what I would be afraid of....fiberglass cracks, and once that happens you have to fix it! Urethane is MUCH more durable from what I have seen.
