I paint anti-sieze compond on the mating surfaces and lug nets each time I rotate the tires. I used grease once on some lugnuts years ago and had them loosen up on me. It might not be a problem on the mating surfaces but make sure you don't grease the lug bolts.

A wheel chock! I always wondered what that plate was for. When I first bought my car I spent a Sunday afternoon checking out the jack in case I ever needed to use it in an emergency & couldn't figure out what to do with that plate.

Harbor Freight has this slick little electric that plugs into the lighter socket. I went to a track day a couple of weeks ago and one of our KC MINIacs had one for his GP. Made changing the wheels Oh so easy!

$69.95

The contol button even has an LED light built in so you can see under the car (esp at night) so you can put the lift pad in the right place in the jack points under the car.

Spiffy, MINIDave! Great find. How high will it go and what's the load limit?

Very nice! part number for those interested (like me :

TEM 94491-1VGA

Next chance I get, I'm off to the store to see how much space this thing takes up. Can't be more than the Al racing jack I have.
