Interior/Exterior Brake duct install...
braking technique can lead to fast brake pad wear (and braking performance) on the track. don't "ease" into the brakes. this just heats them up and makes them less efficient for when you really decide to slow down. hit them hard, get slowed down, then modulate as required.
a very short vid of how effective braking can get you past "faster" cars...

learning good braking technique will make you faster around a track than most engine/hp upgrades!

I hope you get up to Oktoberfest this year at the Glen. I'll show how to go deeper than the 2 marker. I'm not impressed with your comments or being a BMW instructor for the Tarheel club. If you've never seen someone drive I would'nt make statements about their driving. Enough said.

They were new stock pads but I was using the EBC slotted rotor. Believe or not the EBC yellows that I ordered for the WGI event actual showed up last week. But after WGI I installed the Stoptec brake kit front and rear(rotors/SS lines only). I have not decided on which pads to use for track days yet.
Did you have the stock GP setup for the Glen up front. If you did I can understand the rears going. What group did you run with? Are you planning on going to Oktoberfest next Sept. Our local BMWCCA is the host club.
if you can show me a video of you breaking at the 2 marker after a 3000 foot straight (you should be going 120+) I will not question your ability to late brake. And i don't care what you think about my comments or the clubs i instruct with. this is the internet, ignore who you want but expect to get it from everyone.
you brake like a girl!

I've been working on new scoops but it is very costly to have them made. The current scoops will work, they just don't fill the entire space on the aero bumper. Molding them in works best.

Did the brake duct install yesterday. A few missteps, and some steep learning on duct #1 that paid off for #2. Here's a before and after:

They look good from 6 feet away.

Well, then we can infer, Joaquin, that you are at least 6 feet away from my car.
They actually look fine up close and personal, and add at least 20HP (which is of course the most amazing thing about them, not being red and all.)

More importantly, they provide airflow... and, as we all know, airflow is key.

Well thanks to you, Sid (MSFITOY) and Longboard, I had a pretty good idea what was in store for me. Still learned a lot in the process of actually doing it. I used 3 rivets as you did, but they are painted black like the ducts. They are hardly noticeable even in person!
It's a great look for sure, with some pay off on the track I hope. I really haven't suffered too much from fade with the big 13" Wilwoods, but more airflow can't hurt.

I've gone over 26 track days and have plenty of rear pads left. Rears should be a non issue.
