Rebuilding front calipers-How to keep lines from draining?

My front calipers need re-building. I've got the rebuild kits but would like to stop the stainless steel lines from draining when I disconnect them from the calipers. Any suggestions?

Did you ever figure this out? I have to rebuild mine and was wondering if this were possible.

KD Tools makes a rubber assortment of rubber plugs on a beaded chain, you can use them to plug all kinds of fluid lines.

But, don't you think that if the calipers need rebuilding, it might be a good time to change the brake fluid? Just drain it out before your rebuild and put fresh brake fluid in to go with you newly overhauled calipers.

A little pressure on the pedal (use or make a tool for this purpose) will stop the flow. Obviously some type of cap, even a plastic bag taped tightly, must be used to keep dirt out of the system. If your brake fluid is more than two years old, it should be flushed out, according to MINI. I tend to agree.
