For reference the part number at Bavarian is "SMBOLT-HK"

Their website makes it hard to bookmark the product page

Well I picked up the part mentioned previously at Bavarian Autosport. SMBOLT-HK. Threads directly into the tow hook adapter. I fabricated a custom bracket using some inexpensive steel strap found at Lowes. A few bends on the bench vise, and here is the result... Perhaps a bit too low?



This is a shot from above, showing the clearance to the bumper...



I have since created a 2nd bracket, this time made from aluminum bar stock instead of the flimsy steel. The aluminum is 1/8in. thickness, while the steel is barely 1/16in. Will paint it black to 'hide' it.

Here's a whole bracket for $11.25. Amazon says it won't fit the MINI, but if you go to the Aries website, it is listed for MINIs
