Aloha!

I'm going to be relocating to the Big Island. I bought a MINI (chili red/black, rally lights, anthracite, red interior) earlier in the year and now I'm wondering if I'm going to have to sell. Is certified maintenance available on the Big Island? If not, how do you folks outside of Oahu get maintenance?

Thanks, Booger

Just wait for MINIKahuna, MINIma or ESOTERIC to post on this as they are the MINI of Hawaii crew.

Aloha and Welcome Booger to MCO-

I talked to several mini owners on the big island and right now there isn't a certified place to do servicing for minis- you should talk to the people from Mini of HI here- either the service reps or get help from the sales people (who are monitoring MCO- hopefully they will leave some info but you can call them too).

One would hope that you can keep your mini and still get coverage. It would make sense that for outer islands Mini make arrangements with a certified BMW repair shop but they have to be sure that all work is done to meet MINI standards and that is a problem.

Right now servicing is done at BMW of Hawaii. You'd have to ship your car back to Oahu for work to be done under warranty and some people have done this.

Sorry to hear you have this problem- I hope some solution can be found. Let us know what happens
