Hello all way over there. I will be moving to Honolulu in the hope to be near future and was wondering if you guys can get XM. Their site says that you cannot, but some say that you can. Just wondering.

 

i asked one of the car stereo shops about satellite radio...he said the satellites don't reach out here in the middle of the pacific. i don't know of anybody here who has it.

your're moving from maryland? i was actually born in timonium and moved to hawaii when i was 7. don't remember much, except Pot Spring Elementary School, the great sledding in my backyard with 2 hills, and those maryland crabs with the special seasoning!

 

Oh yeah, those crabs are good. They are expensive for a bushell now. Not many crabs left anymore. Thanks for finding out for me. I appreciate it. Enjoy the weather.

 

I investigated this about a month back... I wanted either one for my MCS…I was going to get the stock XM kit from Mini and install it myself…


Found out, no coverage for Hawaii for either Sirius or XM…. And Mini of Hawaii doesn’t even install the XM kits due to this….

Circuit City and the other car stereo places will not install and all say no coverage... plus I have not seen one car out here with the antenna or anyone say they are using it...


Both XM & Sirius said at least 2 years before they have coverage out here…

 

I guess I will have to either cancel my service, just use XM On Line, or pray that XM will point some to the islands. Thanks for checking.
