Hauoli Makahiki hou 808 MINIs!!!

--That's Happy New Year for you kids who didn't pay attention to Tutu when whe was teaching you Hawaiiana. Hope everyone had a fun and safe holidays! So.....? What did everyone get for their MINIs for Christmas?

On impulse I got my MINI tinted for her Christmas gift. I went to Special-T tinting and just so happen they were free the next day for my car. I went with 38% on the sides and rear and 6% on the sunroof. They use SolarGuard tint and I grabbed their True Grey flagship tint instead of the metal becase I didn't want night time or rain issues with my visibility.

The job only took about a couple of hours and I was able to roll down the windows as soon as I picked her up. The owner (Keith) said that the way he tints allows the customer to roll down the windows right away instead of after 24 hours. The quality of the tint is pretty darn good and the tint comes with a lifetime guarantee not to fade or change color. Just wipe with water and paper towel every few months. (every month for smokers tho) Plus they even washed my MINI after they finished the job. Nice.

I was going to get an intake for my MINI but that'll just have to wait til later. Maybe for her birthday.

So tell me what goodies did you get for your MINI!?

pyratio,

Akemashita omedetou gozai masu. Kotoshi mo yoroshiku onegai shimasu [as I bow].

I bet your car looks sharp with the tinted windows now!

Christmas present to car :
- Got my car some Multivex mirrors (http://www.multivexmirror.com/products1a.php?refID=) for my door mirrors. Kind of weird at first but definitely elimates blind spots - highly recommend it!
- Got my car a new Magnaflow ODB2 cat (http://www.performancepeddler.com/de...CT_ID=MAG94166) for my header application.
- Got my car some slightly used coilovers (https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...reply&p=767591). My shocks were shot so everything is so smooth now BUT my car is SO low now.

Hope we all have a prosperous, healthy, and most of all SAFE 2006!

Dirk

i think my mini had x-mas nearly every month of the year in 2005...so december was a bit of a let down for her. but i think in 2006 she may have a few more surprises.

Akeome, Kotoyoro Dirk san! *bowing*

--Haha 2 years of Japanese in college and google still helps me translate faster. It's neat that the Japanese say Happy new year, please put up with me in the coming year. And in meeting people for the first time they say Hajime Mashite, Doozo Yorishiku. Nice to meet you, please be nice to me from now on.

Hey those multivex mirrors look cool! Ooh I wanna see your mirrors! Wow were all those mods what made you so fast during the last superlap? 42 seconds!!!!

I can only dream of being that fast on the track!
