is it possible to update my 02 MCS xenon headlamps to the revised 2006 xenon lamps?

 

That is easy. 2 steps...

1. go to dealer and order 2006 with Xenons
2. sell the 02 just before the 02 arrives

Just kidding. Yes it is possible (i would guess so) but the probability of it being cost effective or everything being pluy & play... I don't think so.

1. remove old lamp
2. order new lamp
3. use empty lamp space as my intake
4. drive at night
5. pray!

but seriously, wonder if there is any software codes etc...

 

There are posts on Mini2 claiming that the '05-'06 Xenons interchange perfectly with the '03-'04 and require no software reprogamming. But as the '02s have no auto-leveling or headlamp washers, I would not expect it to work so easily.
