How many people on here are from Hawaii? How many people in Hawaii have minis. I'm thinking of get one!! Anyone?

I'm in Aiea. I know there are others out there, because MINI of Hawaii can't keep em in the lot! I'm not sure how many read this website though.

Cool some close to Pearl City. Hey Jason did you get the Cooper or Cooper S? Any mods yet?

 

I just got the base Cooper. Here's my setup so far:

IndiBlue Cooper w/bonnet stripes and "S" side grills (as soon as MossMini gets the Cooper grills, I'll be changing them out)
Under the hood: Magnecore 8mm competition ignition wires, MiniMania oil cap and dipstick, MossMini power steering cap.

Interior: MiniMania pedals.

So far, most of my mods have been cosmetic, but as new parts become available, I'll be making more engine mods. Here's what I have planned right now:

Induction kit (Viper or John Cooper works)
Cat back exhaust
Strut brace
16 or 17" wheels (I have the stock 15's)
Partial aero kit (I'm not a fan of the black grill up fromt, I'm keeping the chrome)
Rear spoiler
H&R springs

WHat's your setup? What mods have you made? Have you been out to Hawaii Raceway Park yet?

Hello all! Just wanted to poke my head in and let you know that there are at least two MINIs in Wahiawa, mine (black with white top/mirrors) and another that I've seen down the street black/black.

I've also seen a couple in Haleiwa. :smile:

Aloha! Glad to hear someone else in Hawaii is reading this board! I'm trying to spread the word to other MINI owners here on Oahu so that maybe we can get a local club going. I think it would be great to have a MINI cruise one weekend. Can you imagine the attention? It's bad enough when there's just one rolling along. Think of their reaction of seeing 20 or 30!

I'm really starting to notice more MINIs here. It's almost daily now that I see another. Besides me at Pearl Harbor, I've seen another IndiBlue, a BRG, and a Yellow Cooper on base. Plus, I've seen a red S twice near Aloha tower. So we have a few more motorers out there. Now we just need to gather together and celebrate the greatness of MINI!

So, what do you think? Would you be interested in a cruise/gathering?

MiniMe, a MINI cruise would be a great idea if we could find enough HI_MINI owners... I know just driving to and from work I get constant stares, questions, and complements... a string of 5 or 10 MINI's going down the road would be great!

 

I'll keep you informed if and when I can get something organized. I've been posting to other Hawaii boards in hopes of spreading the word. I think we're missing out on a lot of fun, from the sounds of MINI meets on the mainland!

If there are any others out there who are interested, let me know. I'll try and keep track of all those who are interested...

No, not mine. Just saw a red cooper s on saturday by Ahi's Restaurant on the east side of the island.. I believe it's still kam hwy at that point.. hmm.. It zipped by while we were eating, so I've still yet to encounter another MINI while actually driving ours <grrr> <arrrg> :???:
