Sorry to hear that. Some people are stupid. I hope you got their info and that they have insurance.

He came a found me at work. His cell phone rang and he got distracted. When he hit it, he looked back and didn't see anything.

sorry to hear about that...at least he took responsibility for it.

btw, what exactly got damaged? your bumper or the bonnet or maybe even higher?

in a way, for this very reason i'm kinda glad i have roof racks on my mini, making it a bit higher in terms of visibility. maybe that's why the oem antenna is like 2 feet high?

Moral of story? I never park where there might be the slightest chance of some jackass hitting me.

That's the exact reason I hate those atrocious things (besides the obvious tree-hugger environmental stuff that I won't get into). If he didn't see your MINI, he wouldn't have seen a kid on a bike either.

Typical. Now how about perfecting those wing-based stingers?

Hopefully it's just cosmetic and all will be well.

Those stinkers should be forced to have a back-up camera! That's the second Hummer into a Mini I've heard of. Sorry to hear about it.

Ouch!

Where are those battery powered "force fields" when you need them?

Angry foaming and barking guard dogs also work but they cost too much to feed.

Hope you are fixed up soon like before you leave??!!??
Will that be possible?

A real bummer. Hope the repairs go well. As much as I hate having those humvees on the road, I hate cell phones even more. You can almost bet that the next person you see blow a red light will be on the phone!

rydlisec,

What's the plan? Are you going to be "stitched up" and healed before going to "the other island"?????

Sorry to see your damage

Heck, now you can really drive "like a crazy man" cuz you're about to get "fixed".

That sux! Mine's in the shop this morning to have a dent pulled out of the roof, hopefully. I hate SUVs! There is no damn reason they need them in the cities around here! They are filled with idiots on cell phones who can't drive worth a **** to begin with, let alone in a two-ton brick that disconnects you from the world! My boss drives a Suburban and scares the crap out of everyone that rides with him, he's the perfect example! He likes it because he's a weak little man that likes to use intimidation over people - usually through money, ie. witholding payment to get something extra from a vendor. He loves to play those stupid games - tailgates when he drives, encrouches on other lanes, darts back and forth, jerks the gas and brake...just an oblivious moron like most I see in them.
