hey i just got back home, checked my e-mails and found like 40 new messages from i believe north american motoring. various subjects including "alta intake", "going down hills...what is that?", "exhaust cooper s", "little round grills in front bumper".

all sent april 7-8, most sent multiple times, all within 2-3 kb long, a few sent only once. all had the from address as "north american motor..."

what do you think? i'm just worried that this is some virus or crap? or is it just crap?

maybe i'll just go down to the local library and open it up over there just in case.

Check to see if you are subscribed to threads with those titles and are receiving e-mail notice every time someone replies...if that is possible here.

anybody else received tons of e-mail from them within the last 1-2 days?

It sounds exactly like you’re subscribed to the threads as COOPERation said. Check your settings.

In each section/forum you will find a link on the top right that says ....subscribe/unsubscribe.
If you see unsubscribe... you are... "subscribed".
The reason you are getting all these emails is that you are subscribed to various forums.
I get on the average about.... 400 emails a day

Peace,
D

kbseto,
I'm sure you hit the subscribe option on the upper right hand corner of the Hawaii Forum.
Subscribe is for those who want to get everything-it goes to your listed email address.
For some, subscribe is useful to see how activity is going via regular email or to monitor feedback on a particular post.

Let me know if you need any help correcting this.

thanks guys...i finally realized that all those e-mails were coming from the beneath the bonnet forum. and the "unsubscribe" option was there under the "search".

i think i was rushing around to do a search yesterday and i accidentally hit "subscribe".

it was nice getting lotsa e-mails from everybody...for a little while.

thanks again, minihune and d.
