>>I know you are kidding about the 18" rims-
>>Cause the downside is 18" rims weigh more, tend to be wider than 16" rims so the tires are wider and may be heavier. And the tires tend to be 35 series low profile that look good but add to bumpiness.
>>
>>Maybe ask Erik808 how his MC with H-sport springs does with 16" wheels. I think he is doing OK, no rubbing and pretty good ride. He'll be at the autocross on April 4 hopefully.

yup, i was absolutely kidding....wouldn't the wider and heavier wheel/tire give me worst gas mileage? I wouldn't want to get less than 15mpg...good god, could you imagine????

on top of the fact that i get car sick, and a bumpier ride would only make me want to drive my car less....

thanks for the info, though minihune!!!

>>>>The down side is it weigh 21 lbs.

>>That is about right for the weight.
>>The R90 two piece rims are about 24 pounds each.
>>
>>Chrome rims are about 2 pounds heavier per rim in 17" due to the chrome plating.
>>But they do look good.
>>Don't scratch them!!!

There are three different type of wheels made: 1 piece, 2 piece and three piece. All aluminum wheels will either be cast or forged. With 1 piece, the wheel is cast or forged as a whole. 2 piece wheels will be cast or forged with a separate front and back. These will be riveted or bolted together for the finished product. 3 piece wheels have a separate front back and center section.

2 and 3 piece wheels are preferred by car enthusiasts and race teams because there are infinitely variable combinations of offset, and wheel width.

I did look at all of the finishes for the Centerline RPM.
The chrome was expensive and heavy so I settled on the polished finish. Chrome might be more durable with a deeper shine.

The anthracite and silver finishes are more durable and easy to clean in my opinion.

So Roy,
Which wheels are you going to use and keep? Bring them next time to our mini meet.

Not sure , I found a guy selling RPM at E-bay its silver (new) for starting price
of $875 and ends in 2 days (no bid yet)
If I decided to keep the SSR rims I won't be able to use it at the track but instead I
will eventually buy a 16".

I spoke to Roy today and he isn't going to keep the SSR GPO Evolution rims. Doesn't fit.
He does like chrome though.

I suggested some lightweight 16" rims. SSR Comp R are pretty light at 16x6.
Today he was driving his MCS with the stock S-lytes.
