Thanks for the hospitality
Thank you everyone for making my stay so great! We left Saturday afternoon, but not before I got one last snorkel in: fantastic. There are fish there that even Walt Disney couldn't have imagined, like the trigger fish (I learned from Minihune that's your state fish).
Just to put things in perspective, when we arrived on Sunday at 6:00am, it was 28 degrees and raining. I'm now freezing in my office, dreaming of Kona.
Special thanks to (as per MINI-T, I have edited these names for the privacy of the offenders) for bringing the camp sized sashimi platter to the pot luck. I find that having a plate with hot dogs and raw fish makes for an excellent meal, and impresses the islanders with my good taste.

thanks for protecting offenders like myself
i'm so happy that you made it out to beautiful hawaii for some r&r and a little bit of wrenching in between your snorkeling adventures! we'll plan for the next big install party -- summer?!
that sashimi platter was HUGE! big thanks to whoever brought that  we should have you coordinate the meal planning for the mini events! only problem is, we'll all have to sell 25 zippy's chili tickets

Eric - It was nice meeting you. Trigger fish? You mean you can't spell it's Hawaiian name, humuhumunukunukuapua'a?
As for the food, it was great. Whoever brought that sashimi platter, it was HUGE! How did it fit in your MINI?
Since you like it so much here, will there be a Helix West or maybe a Helix Pacific as there are enthusiasts in Japan?

Actually this is the triggerfish Eric saw at Hanauma Bay.
Rhinecanthus rectangulus (reef triggerfish)

And here is another triggerfish-
Rhinecanthus aculeatus or Lagoon triggerfish

Many thanks to RoyT for the platter which was anything but MINI sized.

Helix West? Definitely- we are working on it.
Eric,
We are glad you have fond memories of your stay and hoping it will warm up for you sometime soon. It got all rainy today because you left us. Next time remind us to take you to "shark's cove" for snorkeling. Where the sharks are MINI sized.
