Pretty cool! Seen these offered for BMW steptronic before but this is the first time I've seen it for MINIs.

It's been out for about a year on the BMW side. The only prerequisite for paddle shifting is the steptronic option on your automatic transmission. I've seen pics of a few BMWs with it installed and it looks sweet!

looks very cool and I'm interested in them for when I FINALLY get my MC sometime next year... still debating on waiting for the convertible or not.

They look cool, and they certainly are functional. The pro drivers use them. I keep wondering if they would interfere with steering. However, I actually like the idea of shifting manually with my CVT using the shifter with my right hand (although I haven't done it yet, as I need to finish breaking it in first - 1225 miles now). Maybe I'm old fashioned, as I've had 3 stick shift cars before and I like using the shifter. I also had an automatic (1978 or so) Accord with 2 speed automatic that preferred you to use the manual shifter (or leave it in 2nd all the time). Shifting that way is fun. But I can see the advantage of keeping your hands on the steering wheel. Right now I don't want it but who knows, as it may grow on me in the future.
